Learning Activity Packs
With the help of our partners, Heritage Lincolnshire, we have created two Learning Activity Packs aimed at Key Stages 1 and 2.
Below is an introduction to each of the Learning Activity Packs and a library of associated assets for you to download.

Christianity Through the Ages.
Christianity Through the Ages provides an introduction to Christianity in the East Midlands from the Roman period onwards. It highlights the changes in both church and society that have taken place and briefly introduces pupils to the social and religious hierarchies that existed in the past.
This teaching resource is aimed at Key Stages 1 and 2 and can be used by schools in the Worksop area as part of the “significant historical events, people and places in their own locality” topic of KS1 or “a local history study” topic of KS2.
This resource could also be used as part of the KS1 topic “events beyond living memory that are significant nationally or globally” and the KS2 topic “a study of an aspect or theme in British history that extends pupils’ chronological knowledge beyond 1066.”
The plan is devised for a single session with the length of the activities being varied to suit the age of the pupils. Although a variety of activities is provided in each section, these are intended as a choice and it is not envisaged that all should be attempted as a single session. Additional recap resources are provided if the activities are spread over multiple sessions.
Wish You Were Here!
Wish You Were Here tells the story of the religious separatists who later became known as the Pilgrim Fathers. It introduces the world that they lived in and follows their story from the East Midlands, to Holland and then to America, where it touches on the consequences of their migration.

This resource could also be used as part of other history topics. For KS1 it would fit with “events beyond living memory that are significant nationally or globally” and “the lives of significant individuals in the past who have contributed to national and international achievements.” For KS2 it could be included in “a study of an aspect or theme in British history that extends pupils’ chronological knowledge beyond 1066.”
